I'm okay with that!

What would be so bad about  being in a conference with Oklahoma State, Kansas, TCU, UCF, West Virginia, Cincy, Houston, Texas tech, Baylor, BYU, Utah, Arizona State, Arizona, Colorado,..... ?

That's arguably the third best conference in the country right now. And is way more stable than the ACC.

FWIW, I've seen some posts saying that the PAC's ideal number is 9, not 8. Not sure what that really means. But taking Memphis, Tulane, and USF from the AAC would pretty much end the AAC as a serious competitor for the G5 spot.

I agree that if Memphis and Tulane say yes, we should as well. We just need to keep the exit fees/GOR buyout reasonable, to keep our P4 dreams alive. In the meantime, a PAC-9 with most or our games against eastern/central time zone teams would seem reasonable.

I think it is for an 8 game round Robin format, everyone plays everyone, plus 4 non-con games.

I am more in favor of a 10 team round-robin plus 2 non-con; or maybe even a 12 team round-robin with a protected rival ooc game (USF-UCF). Makes scheduling real easy.

Honestly, that conference doesn’t sound terrible except for travel expenses.

4 Non Con could be fun.  We could load up that schedule.

Yeah the regional interest isn't there.  But I guess we would take it of course.

We are already playing North Texas, Tulsa, UTSA, Temple, and Rice. Most of the teams in the Big 12 would require similar distances in travelling.

You could even have East and West divisions where you play teams in the East division more often

I guess I feel like jumping at this West Coast league and their GOR would be playing checkers.

Does anybody realistically think that would be a power conference?

Proposed PAC under this scenario:

Oregon State, Washington State, Boise State, SDSU, Memphis, Tulane, Colorado State, Fresno State,  Some other maybe USTA/Air Force?

AAC under this scenario

UAB, Army, Charlotte , ECU, FAU, Navy, North Texas, Rice, Temple Tulsa

Wonder what type of new TV deal that cast of misfits would get. Hence why it’s not just about what other conferences are offering, it is also about what the AAC is going to be able to pay moving forward with a diminished product.

I like the conference. Like you said, it is more stable than the ACC. If we got an invite to B12, we should take it without hesitation. I prefer ACC, but B12 is great given what’s happened with realignment.
