I wouldn't want to land in this conference if there is a grant of rights that has to be signed.

From their perspective, I fully understand the desire for some stability. At least for the immediate future. And I also understand how USF, Tulane, and Memphis want to be flexible enough to react if/when the ACC is open. Now that they've said the PAC is going GOR, I just don't think you can reconcile the PAC's goals with the AAC 3's goals.

Yeah can't do it for a slight increase.

If it turns out to be $15 mil, that’s double what we get now. Agree I’d stay put if it’s only a couple mil.

“As for targets, the dream scenario is Cal and Stanford come back west,” Thamel said. “That would necessitate some ACC uncertainty, and is certainly not a guarantee. That they go from there to target high end American schools. Think Memphis, think South Florida, obviously, think Tulane. Those schools, though, are making about $9 million a year in American, and there’s no certainty that they make that much money in the Pac-12.

“And if they did, there’s obviously extreme travel costs to play in a league like that. So for now some questions loom as the six-pack needs to grow to an eight pack.”

But sign a GOR for 15 Mil?  I guess it depends on what the buyout is.

NO GOR until we get to big boy table money. GOR’s and buyouts are 2 different things. You’ll always have a buyout regardless.

Calford going back WEst would open the way for the ACC to add USF , Memphis, and Tulane. FSU ain't ready for the SEC. They are 0-3 in ACC play since suing the ACC  and college football  aftering pitching their offseason fit they were national championship worthy.

FSU to the SEC is about the full body of work. Not just one season. SEC would be silly to let them go B1G when they get out.

Also, PAC is dead as far as east coast teams go.  No one is going to jump on that ship from the east coast. Calford did it because they were desperate.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
