but the alternative is potentially Memphis and Tulane (and some Texas teams) leaving the AAC.

If many Bulls fans think it's stupid for USF to go to the MW/PAC, why would Tulane and Memphis go?  Argument is continually predicated on those schools jumping into that crap conference, why are we worried about that?

PAC# is in no position to take Memphis and Tulane, let them take the former C-USA teams.  Improve the AAC with addition through subtraction.

Yes.  That's what this article says:

GREENGOLDANDBOLD.COM

The news that the Pac-whatever-number Conference is reeling in four new schools is obviously big news in college athletics. Adding San Diego State, Colorado Sta

Rice, Tulsa or NTX from the article.

Because many feel that if one cant be in a Power top 4 conference at the very least its an enticing idea to create a best of the rest Group of Five conference which would undoubtedly get a playoff spot.

This year, as last year, its entirely possible that the AAC champion at the end of the season will be outranked by a UNLV, Boise State, or a Northern Illinois. That type of problem would decrease in a best of the rest PAC conference.

They were outranked by freaking Liberty last year. That's a pretty weak reason for joining this PAC Frankenstein, IMO. You get a best of G5 conference that ends up knocking each other off and you let a little pissant conference sneak in ...

We shall see if they actually do get higher rankings as a best of the rest or if the east coast bias remains.  It's really the MW conference with a few friends.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
