It already has AAU status.  It prioritized that because it's an academic institution. 

Many things go into who gets hired out of school but you know academics is a huge part of that right? You understand that conference alignment has nothing to do with that? Anything a college can do to up the academic prestige of the school helps in that endeavor.  AAU raises the academic prestige of USF plain and simple.  Since it's an academic institution, I think that's pretty important.

It is important for the education value but has zero impact on reliagnment except with the b1g . Brand recognition is built by winning, big opponent wins, bowl wins, conference champions,  national championships, and the colleges that are associated with in the athletic conference.

 We got an  D where it counts in the athletic conferences. This is an athletic forum so we care about sports. I couldn't find any thread with over 10,0000 pages  full of post for aau status. 

Money talks and bs walks. This is the tiers from the tv contract.

Sec/B1g - most ranked teams and champions in college playoff era.

ACC -B - Second most ranked teams and champions in college playoff era.

 

B12 C - second or.third most team in the  the college football playoffs .Zero champions.

Aac/g5 D -Fourth most playoff appearances in college football playoffs . Zero champions. 

 

Fcs- F left out the big money
