, the attendance will be determined primarily by how we're doing, not who we're playing.

Cool ... so all we need to do is get into a conference with all Florida schools and we'll have it made attendance-wise. Sounds like a plan!

My boss never offered be a raise for having an AAU degree from usf, but when I worse My usf gear proudly after the Bama game I got lots of that was a great game and we were rooting for usf.

So the monetary value to you for both is the same ..... zilch.

You've said this several times and I'm not sure you're aware of how raises work. A degree from USF might have helped you get a job out of college but the rest is up to you.

Academic standing is important to recruiters hiring kids out of college.

There is a pecking order in this state and it's based on academics and the caliber of students attending a university not football, conference alignment or any of that.

The point is no conference but The b1g care about aau status and people in the real world don't care about aau status.  I don't see tv networks paying millions of dollars to watch research grant work and academic competitions. The only people that care about aau status is universities using the research to make money.  Do you think any employer hiring a ucf or usf graduatw with the same degree will say well  the usf candidate has an aau degree  so they get the job? The answer is no. If usf doesn't want to be in a power conference and wants to prioritize aau status over athletics  then why build the ocs?

Yes seu fire, Warner, Weber, and the fcs schools will definitely elevate attendance.

Correct but the brand recognition comes from sports not aau status.

You know, I almost added FBS schools but thought to myself, "Nah, no one would be that silly" ...

Are those people commenting on your USF gear part of a conference selection committee for realignment?

I think we're all over-thinking this.

I just want USF to be in the same conference as Memphis and Tulane, until we get the call up to a P4 (either USF alone, or with Memphis and Tulane).

If that's the AAC, great. If that's the PAC-12 (assuming it makes sense financially and logistically), also great.

We're in a rough spot if Memphis and Tulane leave for the PAC-12, but we aren't invited and have to remain with our current conference mates. I think that's a big loss for us. Otherwise, we're at least moving laterally, if not up, and I'm cool with that.

Because it's a college and it has college students that want to watch football games on campus like almost every other college in the country.

It already has AAU status.  It prioritized that because it's an academic institution.

Many things go into who gets hired out of school but you know academics is a huge part of that right? You understand that conference alignment has nothing to do with that? Anything a college can do to up the academic prestige of the school helps in that endeavor.  AAU raises the academic prestige of USF plain and simple.  Since it's an academic institution, I think that's pretty important.

Or play recognized opponents from in state or out. This was the first search result/article which was about whether last years Alabama game would be in the top 5 most attended games. We both know that there would be no current AAC opponent that would fall in any “most attended“ game list and most of them would be at the very bottom of such a list. I appreciate you feel it shouldn’t matter who we play but it does and always will to the vast majority of fans (I know they are not real fans).

The ACC should just get SDSU, and USF.

These schools show more academic excellence, and higher ceiling in more desirable cities than the rest in my opinion.

SDSU is a travel partner for Cal and Stanford. Build local rivals to get more emotion and viewers.
