Just now, Brad said:

Why?  What brand in that cabal would attract Tampans?

I am assuming that the if we join the PAC, Memphis and Tulane would as well. Same way our attendance rose exponentially when we were in the Big East there would be an exponential increase in our attendance in the PAC. There is no doubt that the average fan ( I am not talking about the die hards), would be more excited about these Pac teams compared to our current slate of AAC teams.  Would you rather play San Diego State both in football and men's basketball or North Texas?. Boise State or Rice? OSU or Charlotte?,...

This new PAC would be close to being a Power conference both in basketball and football. Currently our only guarantee to making the NCAAT is winning the AAC tournament, while in football we have to hope that Liberty, Northern Illinois, Boise State, or whomever dont outrank us at the end of the season in football.

The PAC most years would be almost guaranteed 3 slots for the NCAAT and one slot for the football playoffs

We didn go to the Big East and get a boost from fellow C-USA teams. People will be no more interested in Tulane and Memphis than they are today.

There are ****** teams in the American and there are ****** teams in the new Pac#.   Again, if there’s money in it, okay.  I don’t see that being the case.  Once again if they give us everything we need and meet every need and requirement then OK.  It’s not exciting and it’s unlikely to have the status of the Big12 or ACC.  Some news are speculating. It might become the best of the G6.

Where do you get that?

Than neither was the Big East.

However, which conference is better? Both conferences is at 10 teams in two possible scenarios?

Option A :USF, Tulane, Memphis, OSU, WSU, Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State, UTSA, Colorado State

versus

Option B: Rice, North Texas, FAU, Charlotte, Navy, Army, Temple, UAB, Tulsa, USF

Don't care what the financial numbers are right now, option A will make more money in the long run and will put USF in a better position to be successful.

based on the amount of NCAAT bids these Mountain West teams have had in the last 5 years or so including San Diego State being in the final compared to to the AAC.

I think thats wishful thinking.  But yes, if you take the best of the AAC and put it in the new PACwhatever, the chances are that’s gonna be a better collection of teams then the AAC, losing its top teams and remaining there. But a lot more goes into it than that.

Go independent if Option B comes to fruition.

Outside of SDSU’s recent bids, who are the others?  I haven’t paid close enough attention.  I’d have a harder time naming Mountain West teams than American Athletic teams and I’m just learning those.  😂

This year Boise State, San Diego State, and Colorado State all went to the tournament.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
