"The Big 12 is the most fun, but being in a conference with smart schools should matter. "

This made me laugh.   😂

Wow this PAC thing is really happening. I say go for it without a GOR. Go to 12 teams - new 6…

USF

UNLV

Memphis

Tulane

UConn

UTSA

P.S. And call it the Pacific Atlantic Conference

UConn would not leave the Big East and have their basketball program take a step down.

Navy plus Army and Air Force would make sense.

The conference must have at least eight schools by the summer of 2026 to comply with NCAA rules.

Does not include USF in his list of six schools.

Cal wants nothing to do with Fresno and those lower tier schools. So I don’t think they’d go back at this point. I hope Cal & Stanford will be in our conference, so I can see us without leaving the Bay Area.  Hopefully, things can be arranged. I think Cal & Stanford could end up in the B1G. Just depends on how the schools shake out. UCLA, USC, Stanford, and Cal make sense in a conference together. Not so much split up though

I doubt being in flyover country could be that fun. I think we need a good balance of great academics and universities in cool destinations.

With that said. I believe we will know more about ACC situation by February of 2025. So more likely schools like Tulane, Memphis and USF will wait until then to reply to any PAC invites

The time to win is now. Time to pack our stadium.

USF needs to become a no brainer when it comes to the Pac adding schools

“Because there’s, like you said, legal battles and all that stuff,” Wasserman added. “But it does make sense, and it would be kind of great, if the Pac-12 was able to reinstall some geographical relevance to this whole thing. So I do think that they would make sense culturally in that conference, obviously, and it would be cool to bring some West Coast football back.”

The Pac-12’s four new additions still put the conference two teams short of the eight-team limit required to maintain its status as an FBS conference. A deadline they have to reach by July 2026 which sets the stage for a fascinating next round of realignment that could potentially involve the ACC and others.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
