The news that the Pac-whatever-number Conference is reeling in four new schools is obviously big news in college athletics. Adding San Diego State, Colorado Sta

I’ll give them three options, none of which would include USF or Tulane. I believe the Bulls will eventually wind up in the ACC once Clempson and FSU depart, but that’s a discussion for another day. Tulane stays because no one in the Conference wants to give up a trip to New Orleans.

Bingo! They definitely won’t be getting a better deal than the AAC. USF is blessed to be a part of it until we get the call up.Army & Navy helps imo

Does Power and Group even have meaning anymore?  Where is it defined, only in the CFP for the 4 teams that get a bye?  Strip away these ridiculous labels and just let the market determine who schedules who and who gets paid what money.  You simply put together the best conference you can to maximize tv, nil and post-season revenues.  What am I missing here?  That being said, I think we take the first offer that will increase our media revenues (without an equal increase in expenses) and go from there.

Exactly! I’m not worried about missing the boat as USF is suddenly becoming the hot chick at the party. No need for USF to jump and run off on something that doesn’t make sense. USF will be fine…

Yes. The p4 distinctions are the end results of the markets deciding. They are the teams with the exposure, the money, the power and the 11 other bids besides the one they decided to give the G5 because they want to avoid lawsuits. It means more now than ever.

I think you summed it up nicely.  Although of course there is an incredible amount of TV and system bias toward the biggest brands.  And am assuming the playoff committee which was a move to solidify the unfairness model.
