I don't think I would want USF as part of this. This "rebuild" of the PAC conference, isn't making it a power conference - and I don't think they're getting ACC schools for this. It's just gonna be another G5/6 conference. I still want B1G or ACC

B1G is full delusion, I’m sorry

it’s not going to happen.

Biggest question is what state will the ACC be in in a few years and what USF, Memphis and Tulane ADs know about their chances. They probably won’t budge if they know an invite within a stable ACC is coming.

clearly OSU and WSU knew they were out of the picture. Lets see how they choose to expand the PAC further

Double posting, I apologize, but let the speculations begin:

While everyone here is asleep, expansion never stops!

Glad to see the PAC resurrecting. However I think the interesting part is that Tulane, Memphis, and USF is not part of it. Probably because they know those schools will with end up in ACC or big 12 depending on how things play out.

"Once these four additions are confirmed, the Pac-12 would still need to add two more schools to reach the NCAA minimum requirement. The conference is in the first of a two-year grace period afforded by NCAA bylaws to exist below the minimum in the case of departures."

Can they poach Stanford and Cal from the ACC to get the other 2 schools?  Does that trigger the ACC picking up USF and Memphis to backfill?

How about seeing the AAC grabbing some of the remaining MW schools.

Considering cal and Stanford knew that poaching the MWC was the PACs only route to survival and still chose the ACC over that situation: no

I don't know that it's "delusional". Highly unlikely? Yes, but I still wouldn't want on the PAC-2 ride. I don't know that it positions USF athletics in any better of a position than the AAC. The four schools they're adding aren't going to transform that into a power conference. To me, being involved in some sort of PAC-2 expansion is just re-organizing the deck chairs. It would feel like a move, just to make a move.

Definitely. It’s a G6 move, which is… wild

it would be the best G6 football conference with adding USF, Tulane, Memphis. Yeah, sort of exciting to play SDSU and Wazzu.

but, Pullman to Tampa? That media deal would need to be very very very appealing lol
