So who keeps telling this guy stuff? I'm tempted to tell him "Hey, amigo. I think your sources are just pullin' your ****."

That makes sense

The not having enough votes makes total sense just from the travel perspective.

Do the Mountain time zone teams really want to add another Eastern time zone team that doesn't have a close travel partner? The same would hold true for UConn as well.

I believe UConn's main reason for leaving the American was having to travel to play teams that their fans had no desire to watch.

I wonder if they're playing their current TV partners in the Big East to get a better deal.

Smart move, if true

Here at Green, Gold and Bold, we view every college sports realignment rumor through this prism: What does it mean for USF? When Florida State opened the footba

That’s impossible to say now, but one thing that hasn’t gotten much attention in this latest round of conference roulette is that the Big 12 would have only 17 teams if it added UConn. Logic says the Big 12 would probably have a secondary move in mind – adding at least one more school, or maybe three besides UConn, to give the league an even 20.

As we’ve said many times before, these decisions are made by college presidents. USF’s elite academic status as an Association of American Universities member would be a big plus there. The ever-expanding Tampa Bay area TV market is a plus. The massive investments USF has made in athletics are a plus.

And as Bulls Athletics Director Michael Kelly has told me, the Big 12 and ACC already know what value USF can bring.

USF is ready to move when the time comes.

What? Are you alleging hoop snobbery?

Looks like we are still trying to let the big ten know….

CBS Sports verified that six Big 12 schools are in favor of adding the Huskies if a vote were taken today

In addition, sources close to the situation tell CBS Sports that TV partner Fox is against the move. Adding UConn to the Big 12 would not only devalue the Big East's contract that Fox completed just two months ago, it would also require amending the Big 12 contract. That contract, with partner ESPN, is worth $2.3 billion and runs through the end of the 2031 academic year.

There are also concerns that UConn is "one of the most heavily subsidized public FBS athletic departments in the country," according to Sportico

FLYWAREAGLE.COM

AL.com's Joseph Goodman was indulging a bit too much in the Georgia Tech hoopla following the Yellow Jackets' 24-21 upset victory over FSU from Dublin, Ireland,

"Georgia Tech is a more attractive choice for the Big Ten than Florida State or even Clemson," Goodman prefaced before saying, "Tech is an elite academic institution with a long and proud history of college football success. In addition to those Big Ten qualifiers, Tech is right in the middle of the Deep South’s largest city.

The Yellow Jackets are a great story right now, but by season's end FSU and Clemson will hold much higher value to the Big Ten and any other Power 4 Conference that'd be looking to poach schools from the ACC if/when that conference falls apart.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
