I'm relatively certain that the UCONN shine is nothing but basketball. UCONN will be UCONN regardless of conference.  One attractive attribute is, however, that there is no binding conference litigation to contend with.

A bird in the hand every day.  Whatever gets USF in the club.  Because everyone in the club is getting looked at for the next big round of realignment.  Anyone not in the club has to perform miracles too get a look.   Like it or not the B12 is in the club.
