The Sunbelt with the SEC makes sense if you just move some teams around. Here's how I set up the conferences using the relegation model in CFB25. Yellow highlighted teams are lateral moves to new power conferences. The red highlighted teams are recently relegated. Boise State squeaked in to the new Pac 10.

It actually makes the lower conferences much more interesting to watch too, because of the possibility each year of getting promoted.

If we don’t win this year our chances are even worse of getting out. All I know is that I found myself watching the 2007 West Virginia game and it made me sad. The school didn’t capitalize on the momentum we had back then. And now ucf gets to play them. We are the only school from that big east conference that is playing in the little leagues. Just accept it. I myself accept that we will be playing rice, north Texas and Charlotte for a very long time. At least in the new stadium 20k won’t look as empty as it does now.

ESPN reported on the UCONN-Big 12 talks. Must be legit then. If it happens, USF will be the last girl from the old Big East waiting to be asked for a dance…
