The ACC found itself in third place for revenue generation last year, earning $707 million but with football being the main money maker, the lack of National Championships in recent years is creating a burden.

Interesting spin on this. The ACC has won 3 National Championships in the last 11 seasons, which is more than the B1G (2) and Big XII (0) combined.

Right. That's what i was thinking when reading it. Didn't read beyond that.

Seems to be the agenda recently.

I'd take the opposite position of Dodd.

I get there are logistical reasons why you can't just switch conferences immediately, but we've seen several schools successfully transition in this accelerated era. I would hate for the next round of realignment to be announced in 2025 with the change taking place in 2028. That's such a dry-hump.

We have?

Outside of Utah, I am not sure who else has "successfully" transitioned from a G5/P5 type of call up.

TCU probably counts too. I think UCF and BYU will eventually be on that list.

I think Houston and Cincinnati are mistakes that the Big 12 wishes they could undo.

Kind of thought about TCU, too, but, to me anyway, I have a problem considering teams from the old Southwest Conference as true G5's ...

I mean successfully as in they sorted out the logistics of scheduling, creating assets for the new conference, integrating all sports into the transition in a short window. Not actual on-field success. My whole point is I'm hoping the next round isn't announced and then the schools leaving stay in their current conference for 3 more seasons. There's no need for that amount of time to pass when you announce an exit.

The swac was a fun conference to watch as a kid.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
