I read some funny stuff that finebaum got them fired because they were pro fsu and spoke our against Fsu being left out of the playoffs and wanting out of the acc. I have no idea what is real. RG3 seems like a Solid guy  and Mrs. Ponder seems like she can land another gig easily with her talents. Maybe our new commissioner will launch an AAC network with his g5playoffs and they can be host.

We can’t afford them unfortunately

Lawless Republic's Calvin Barrett doesn't believe Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham's prediction of a 32-team NFL minor league super conference has much merit --

College football outside of the South, Midwest, and West Coast would suffer in this scenario, but you get what you give. Those regions have been carrying the sport for years anyway; with an emphasis on the South and Midwest.

It's comforting to know that even in the most radical realignment scenarios, the SEC would basically remain as is, but with a few extra marquee opponents from the opposite "conference."

In other words, nothing about adding WSU and OSU makes sense.

All that said, we must add one caveat: If the ACC disintegrates at some point in the next 12-36 months, the situation could change. It could change for the Big 12, the SEC and the Big Ten and the entire power conference structure.

But as things stand, with four intact power conferences, the door to the Big 12 is closed for the Cougars and Beavers.

Which is precisely why the two-year grace period is vital, granting them time to let the landscape evolve.

It’s official: Vanderbilt University, one of the nation’s best-ranked higher ed institutions, wants to build a $520 million campus in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The 300,000-square-foot campus would house 1,000 students, according to a filing to Palm Beach County and West Palm Beach. Plans call for the construction of a main academic building, student housing, and a parking garage. Education programs would include business, artificial intelligence, data science as well as a so-called innovation hub.

The campus would be nestled between the civic center and Dreyfoos School of the Arts in Downtown West Palm Beach. Of the estimated $519.6 million construction cost, $267.6 million would go towards academic buildings, $217.4 million for student housing and $34.6 million for parking. Schooling programs could start as soon as Fall 2026.

For months, rumors have swirled that the Nashville-based private university was looking to set up shop in the city after plans for a University of Florida campus failed.

We would only have like 200 subscribers for the whole AAC.

If ESPN decides not to Opt-In, then Oregon State and Washington State would become replacements and be added to the ACC. Then targets of USF and Memphis would also likely be added by the ACC. The ESPN + ACC relationship is expected to continue, but it may not end up being a simple option being exercised to continue on with the media rights agreement.

Do we have a good amount of cfb viewership in the USF area?  It seems so.   Of course might be watching other teams.  But if we could get to a better conference and were featured OTA...

Fly over states with not much to do. Makes sense.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
