I guess what I am saying is that winning the AAC & making the CFP should be easier than winning the Big Ten or ACC imo. So whether we are stuck in the AAC until 2030 or not, I hope to see USF finally win some conference championships in football

Are you alleging that perhaps there is a tiny, miniscule, microscopic number of U of SF alumni that have - for reasons still under investigation - sworn allegiance to "you know who", for no other reason than to sit at the cool kids table? Are you saying that these fair-weather-fans, should U of SF become one of the cool kids (not necessarily completely cool, but cool adjacent), suddenly repent of their miscreant ways and embrace the place where their diploma was minted? No! We have very strict rules regarding such behavior. Waffles are for breakfast, not fandom.

I mean, if UF and FSU go to the Elite 32, there are no scholarship/rosters limits, and they get the top tier television deal.

It won’t matter for anyone else, and may as well go NIT route. Maybe we can slide in as that “third” Florida team.

USF should eventually be part of all that.  Heck, we are finally seeing a partnership with the Bucs. USF will definitely be part of the College Football reset whenever that happens.

But those of us who have degrees from multiple state schools (e.g., I'm a USFSU alum) like our waffles buttered on both sides!

You gotta pick a side when they play though. I had to do that. I got my Masters from Western Kentucky and I was all USF when we met in our bowl game.
