Amen. I loved living with Tampa Bay area for most of life.  However, it was the "major metro" explosion part in recent years that chased me away.  I guess I'm just a mid-size town kind of guy.

Ain’t nothing wrong with that. Living in the city can get pretty crazy so I get that. I’m thinking about moving to the beach after I retire to become a beach bum……

Off topic, but I have friends that met a guy over in St. Pete Beach area. Struck up a conversation with him. Older guy, but seemed to be in pretty good shape, so asked about exercise. Said, well, I walk 10 miles every day. Five miles down the beach to my favorite bar. So I leave my condo in time to be there when they open. Of course I pass a few along the way, so I stop in them on the way back. When I get home I'm drunk, so I get a good nights sleep and do it again the next day.
