Right on cue with the ND discussion:

FLYWAREAGLE.COM

Notre Dame reportedly wants in on the Big Ten, but according to longtime college football radio host Greg Swaim, the Fighting Irish have no concerns about wheth

As Swaim previously reported, several Big Ten schools, including Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington all "desperately want" Notre Dame and Texas A&M in the conference.

"Checked once again this morning to see if there have been any changes to the B1G schools, regarding their interest in adding quality football schools who aren't AAU accredited," Swaim prefaced before saying, "The answer is still the same...sorry FSU and Clemson fans, but it'll be the SEC. If you have the time, call the B1G schools yourselves...or their main sports coverage reporters...they'll tell you the same thing, that to most B10 Presidents AAU definitely does matter.

Honestly, this would be good because those two posed a threat for ACC expansion, this would mean that we would be priority #1 when FSU/Clem leave and the B12 probably would be looking to expand with many, if any ACC schools.

They are a threat to us for future expansion by both the B12 and the ACC.   Eliminating that threat would be a small silver lining to them receiving an invite now.  As time ticks on, it seems that they are not going anywhere.  I'm sure their patience is wearing thin.  Like mine.

Among the major league sports markets making moves is Salt Lake City, which jumped up two spots to No. 27, passing a pair of AFC North markets in Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Memphis also moved up two spots to No. 50, passing New Orleans. Tampa-St. Pete moved ahead of Seattle-Tacoma (Nos. 12 and 13 now, respectively), Orlando-Daytona passed Denver (Nos. 16 and 17 now, respectively), and Raleigh-Durham passed Portland (Nos. 22 and 23 now, respectively).

  • Memphis, Houston, Orlando-Daytona and Tampa-St. Pete had the biggest percentage gains among pro markets (each up 4%).

This article is from October 2023.  I believe we are the top media market for FL.  I know.  Brand value is more important these days.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
