Yep bring bring regional conferences. Someone in your conference should border your state. Having CALFORD in the ATLANTIC COASTAL CONFERENCE on the opposite coast is dumb. UCLA, USC, Oregon, and Washington are half a country away from most of the B1G. At least the SEC teams all border conference share a border with at least one of their rivals. There needs to be some talk about regionally or semi- regional alignment for conferences.  It seems the SEC is the onlky conference that actually cares about regional rivalries with border surrounding border states. The rest of the power conferences have multiple teams on islands from rest of the conference. If the ACC or Big12 add Tulane and Memphis they could have

It does matter why when you break down the finances.

Can’t wait for the day for them to be a 5 seed in the playoff when they could have been had the bye.

I think that's jealousy.  Who wouldn't want to make all that money, have a private network coverage gassing you up, being able to schedule whoever and wherever you want.  Also not having to tie your future to one of these wrecks of conferences.

Too bad being independent only really works for ND now .

True, but that's not a bad tradeoff for not having to play a conference championship to me and still getting full control of your product.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
