There is still a conference exit fee, currently ~$130MM.

Living out here in Pac 2 land, I can't think of less inspiring teams in that former conference.  Hard to believe they're in the ACC.  Brand value, yes some.  But mostly appearances of apathy year after year...

Stanford had an epic run there with Harbaugh and after.  I admired from afar while they would ruin USCs season every year.

Of the ones left after the Big 4 departed, to me anyway, Stanford had the most recognizable brand .....not counting the Buffalo Clown Show.

AAC is still the best G5 conference by a pretty good margin... Liberty got picked last year, because they went undefeated. Not because of the conference they were in.

Any currently scheduled ACC game agreements would probably be null and void if they become a conference game.
