IMO if any P4 suggested that was a prerequisite we would not be even thinking about a 35k stadium.

Northwestern's new stadium will have a 35k capacity

Yeah but northwestern stadium is a real $800 mil stadium.  Not a 2.0 ucf stadium.

My thoughts exactly .... however, may be a good sign that all of a sudden we're seeing 40K pop up in various conversations, although don't remember where and if those involved matter.

We should have always sought for 40k... It's just a solid round number.

I've always thought they were sacrificing seats for amenities. This is going to be a tough sell for some used to RayJay ...

My own, unverified opinion is that the delay in final renderings are due to expansion considerations due to a pending conference realignment.  I'll hold onto that until I hear something official. 🙂

I think you're at least part right, but you're more in the know than me.

It's not hard to take that leap, much like the bank loan as opposed debt that would need servicing.  A lot of pointers point to us waiting so painfully for something...It has been over 1000 days.

I sought to look out who the best remaining Group of 5 schools are for power conference expansion---and I failed! There are so many holes in my research and methodology that it's harder to see where it works than where it doesn't. But the whole purpose of this video is to spur conversation about expansion, so leave a comment down below if you think I could have done something better.

This is fun!  USF finishes third out of the schools that were researched.  Also, it looks at recently added schools which also was interesting.

Top three expansion schools from this formula were determined to be:  Rice, SDSU and then USF.  It was based on factors like FB success, endowment, academics, market (location) and alumni numbers.  Some of the things not factored in were potential, other sports success and facilities.   Thought it was intriguing.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
