Don't you think that when a settlement is reached, the withdrawl date will be a part of that settlement?

Absolutely. That’s why August 15 doesn’t really matter. Legally, it only matters if you’re proceeding under the contracts outside of litigation. Though practically, you’ve got to have time to modify schedules.

Smu correctly identified that the AAC is destroying any credibility or respect their university had and paid what it cost to get out. If our leadership weren't cowards we'd do the same. This conference is an abomination and no self respecting school would choose to associate with it.

I'm not much of a betting man, can somebody let me know what this means?

Let's look at it this way.

image.png.a3f65637b87393e9e2da670a0c58f2bc.png

This is the odds that DraftKings has set for these eight schools to make the 2024 playoff. Basically, the lower the positive number shown here, the greater the estimated likelihood of that school making the playoffs. If we convert the odds to a %, we see that DraftKings thinks Liberty has a 20% chance, Memphis 12.5%, Tulane at 9.1% on down to Fresno State at 6.3%.

FanDuel has USF at +2000, to make the playoffs, which converts to 4.76% chance.

As of now, Ohio State is at -650 which converts to an 86.7% chance of making the playoffs.

As for "nobody likes us", well...it's not that they don't like us, so much as they're not enthusiastic about USF's chances of making the playoffs when using money to express such affection.

All this says is that USF is still the underdog.

I'd rather be the sleeper than the target...better to come out of nowhere when nobody sees you coming.

What if Liberty goes undefeated?

Impossible.

With their #130 SoS it’s possible.

SMU had fans that wanted out so bad that they put their money where their mouth is. You guys just put your mouth where your mouth is.

Maybe Brad meant that they wouldn't make the playoff this time around in the event that they went undefeated.

Hey now, too much plural in this sentence.

Fixed:

SMU had a fan that wanted out so bad that they put their money where their mouth is. You [DontPushMe] just put your mouth where your mouth is.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
