Someone changed that patently false headline on the actual blog entry to Clemson, FSU, Louisville, VA Tech, Miami, and NC State or GA Tech predicted to join Big 12 by August 15 ........ and surprise, it was Swaim.

Clemson, FSU, Louisville, VA Tech, Miami, and either NC State or GA Tech, were predicted by longtime college football radio host Greg Swaim to join the Big 12 if/when the ACC collapses due to their legal troubles with the Tigers and Noles.

"So getting a lot of you asking me which six ACC teams the Big 12 is likely to poach," Swaim prefaced before saying, "Obviously very early in the process, and we'll know who's leaving by 8/15 for the ACC deadline, but here would be my educated guess as of today...Clemson, FSU, Card Nation, VT, The U, and either NC State or GT."

Mike Farrell (of the Mike Farrell Sports brand) offers a different perspective, though: the Big 12 doesn't have the money to make any such moves -- and he was referring to just FSU and Clemson -- without upsetting its current members.

Hot garbage. Swaim is wildly speculating and throwing out arbitrary dates.

FSU will go independent, before joining the Big 12.

They are actually the perfect kind of football program that could exist and possibly even thrive as an independent.

I only listen to Swaim, when he says USF to the B1G. It's kind of ridiculous the power that online speculation has over shaping reality in today's day and age. Social media is a cancer on society.

Still think P4 with 32 teams each, 4 divisions of 8, auto bid for conference champs and 12 at-large bids for top ranked makes sense.

That’s 128 teams, just drop teams like UMass and most of the CUSA teams and let them sue. Pretty sure this billion dollar industry can survive that speed bump.

I would argue to keep App State in the 128. I think they belong, but that’s just me.
