IMO, the SEC hasn't extended an invite to FSU and Clemson, because they are both embroiled in a legal battle that the SEC doesn't need or want to be involved in. Why would they even hint that FSU/Clem has an invite, if there is a chance they aren't let out of the GoR?

Once that is over... If FSU/Clem win their case = the SEC is going to 18 teams to match the B1G.

If the ACC wins = FSU/Clem are staying put for the forseeable future.

If FSU and Clemson win and get out, does Miami leave too?  I always thought it would be FSU and Miami as partners.
