This is really the only point I was trying to make.

Big 12 fans think the Big 12 is better than the ACC.

ACC fans think the ACC is better than the Big 12.

Everyone else knows that they are essentially equal with or without Texas/OK and FSU/Clemson.

Exactly! They are pretty much interchangeable. Think in the long run both those conferences will either merge or create an alliance.

The Big East vs Big 12 basketball showdown isn't getting renewed after this season. ACC vs Big 12 would be just as good for great games and viewership. Easier than a full merger because that would mean a monstrously huge conference with just 1 autobid for the CFP and each NCAA postseason tournament.

That vision, save the BE invite, was pretty much a given from the start, just a matter of the time frame. There are no "givens" right now.

C-USA didn’t feel like a given.  Calling that meteoric rise “a given” seems dismissive of the efforts and resulting success back then.

Basically C-USA now.  Need a vision.  Tip the hat to the Golesh, Weatherford, Law and Kelly gang.

No brainer if FSU and Clemson leaves.

So much will depend on the aftermath of the falling FSU, Clemson, UNC, UVA dominoes.  Looks like there will be an even larger/stronger P2, likely one larger P3 and a scramble among the rest of the crabs in the pot to be the top of the also rans.

Bizarre.  If anyone else deserves a seat, I’d think it was Florida State (not including the white whale).

What ACC and Big 12 teams are heading to the Big Ten next?

Bringing this back around.  Lot's of smoke right now...maybe something imminent??  Number one and two on this list are Georgia Tech and Miami.  This is if the ACC implodes per the article.
