I hear this from FSU fans, but has there ever been any real reporting on this?  Florida is a great market no doubt but I wonder how much of this is trying to wish it into existence.  Maybe I am just jaded and the the whole B10 vibe wanting to expand seems a bit one sided.  Is tha because they are scared to say anything?

Plus why would the SEC want the big ten in Florida?

The best thing for college football if Clemson/FSU ;leave is an ACC that exists and a B12 that exists. If Clemson and FSU leave there is not much difference between the two.  I don't think either conference could claim superiority.  But I am curious who the power brokers will be in the ACC in your scenario. Miami if they get their act together.  UNC is a good program but has not been much of a football power.  I think you match Utah and KSU or OSU against those two match for match.  It is hard to say having been an east coast fan for so long I don't know the B12 as well as I should.   After that it is just middle range teams on both sides.

The B12 has been down this road before without good results

Exactly. The Big 12 is very popular with the Big 12 and that's about it.

For example, as a casual fan, I have a slight interest in watching Georgia vs Alabama or Texas vs. Oklahoma or Ohio St. vs Michigan, but couldn't care less about Ok St. vs Kansas St (the de facto Big12 "powerhouses").

That right there really tells you all you need to know about where the Big 12 / ACC stands next to B1G / SEC as far as earning potential and P* status.

"going to be the Power 3 counterpart to the Big Ten and the SEC."

I would argue that there is the P-Deux and everyone else, ranked however subjectively as you see fit to get you through your day. P-3 smells a lot like Me-Tooism. In the event the P-Deux extends and invite to the Big XII when the whip comes down, fine.  Otherwise,

As opposed to the powerhouses of NC State and Miami?

FSU and Clemson are suing to exit the ACC, and Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark seems to want to expand more. Could Mike Norvell face Deion Sanders?

Did you even read my post or stop halfway through? I am clearly putting the Big 12 and ACC in the same category...

People in flyover country like the Big 12. People in the East like the ACC. Nice try at being snarky for no reason though.
