Dellenger, a senior college football reporter with Yahoo Sports, said he thinks the Seminoles and Tigers are considering the Big 12 as a fallback if none of their preferred scenarios come to fruition.  “The first option would probably be to get into the Big Ten or SEC,” Dellenger said. “The second option would be in some way to reform the ACC with a smaller number of teams. Where you would be in a financial advantage because you wouldn’t split the distribution, the TV distribution, with 18 [schools]. Maybe you would just split it with 10. So they could reform in a smaller group. “And option three is to probably join another league. Which would obviously be … there’s only one other Power conference league, and that’s the Big 12.”

FSU fans will have a conniption if they become conference mates with the knats.

Lol the only way I see FSU ending up in the big 12 is if SEC doesn’t invite them & USF gets a big ten invite.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall as FSU and Clemson try to convince 8 universities that they were just joking about those lawsuits, and they should dump 6 schools that didn’t just sue the conference. Option 2 seems extremely unlikely.

I wonder if that means that the ACC remains mostly intact and we get added?

That would be a great outcome.  I was starting to get nervous that the ACC was losing too many quality teams.

FSU/Clemson will look kind of foolish in that scenario and the B12 will be adding schools that will be eyeing the door on day 1.

FSU & Clemson would be better off going independent than joining the western big 13 imo.

I agree.  It would be a cautionary tale for the rest of the ACC.

That would be pretty wild to make all this drama and end up in the B12.  K-State primetime.

This sounds like a comedy series that I would like to watch.  I hope ACC goes with voting in their replacements immediately upon voting rights going live.
