Think he is spot on regarding USF being caught in a tug o war between the power conferences. USF is now without a doubt the best available candidate outside of the power conferences rn.

This is 100% true but now we should use them for a raise and stunt on then.  Revenge is sweet.  Although if we didn't get passed over would we be this motivated?  Hmm.

He mentioned what a total home run it would be to end up in the B1G.  However, if he is right that they are taking FSU and Clemson, why wouldn't UM go too?  Then USF doesn't make sense there to me because it seems they would grab other markets first.

I would love a FSU, USF, Clem, GT combo for B10 but it makes no sense to not take UM?

For instance, a plan to add Gonzaga was left on the cutting room floor. And while there is a renewed interest from Yormark in adding UConn, their candidacy remains uncertain.   

And what of the ACC? The league’s situation is perilous enough that buzz from some here in Las Vegas centered on the conference’s future as Florida State and Clemson work to free themselves.

“What’s going on with FSU?” one Big 12 head coach asked.

“Do you know what’s happening in the ACC?” an administrator inquired.

“Jim Phillips really has a bad situation on his hands!” another added.

Will or can Yormark find enough financial resources to land a Clemson or FSU or both? Will he fire another torpedo that destroys another conference?

Thanks Cat for doing the summary I should have done! The only thing I’ll add (because it’s not obvious to people outside of Tallahassee) is that Jeff Cameron is the source he’s relying on for FSU’s alleged August 15 announcement. That gives it more credibility to me than just JP. The Jeff Cameron show is a legit source for FSU news up here. He is THE local FSU guru, with a daily FSU talk show, and definitely has genuine sources. That’s why I bothered posting this, not just JP.

I still think both FSU & Clemson ends up in the SEC.
