So now there are rumors out there regarding conference realignment happening around 7/12 and more rumors that FSU will announce they are leaving ACC around middle of August.

You are spot on, that is a point not explored by these so called “insiders” that the ACC will implode like the P12. The ACC still has a contract and they can just add a couple teams and keep it, because of that, ESPN will NOT let the ACC explode and lose that value from it. ESPN needs the ACC to stay strong for the duration of the media contract and everyone that’s not FSU, Clemson, UNC and the 4th needs the ACC to stay strong as well. As funny as it sounds, if the ACC adds OSU, WSU, USF and UCONN, and maybe an SDSU/Utah, the national view of the ACC will stay up and the value of the ACCN will stay profitable for ESPN. For these reasons, I  not worried about the ACC’s stability vs the B12’s. We just need to be in the ACC or B12 ASAP.

It may be a rumored unofficial announcement around 7/12 followed by an official announcement around 8/15. We shall see….
