As longtime college football radio host Greg Swaim relayed, FSU better fits the profile of a Big Ten than either Clemson, Texas A&M, or TCU by a good bit when i

FSU appears the most likely to acquire accreditation of the three. UNC and UVA also have accreditation, but the Tar Heels have been deemed the SEC's top target and the "It Just Means More" conference is reportedly interested in Virginia and North Carolina universities in realignment.

What ACC and Big 12 teams are heading to the Big Ten next?

#2 MIAMI

Media market: No. 16 media market

Why it makes sense: From market size to being a national brand, Miami checks all the boxes off the field for the Big Ten (including recently becoming an AAU member).

Plus, their dissatisfaction with the ACC makes them a likely candidate to bolt from the conference.

Miami is a brand in football despite their recent downturn on the field. And men’s basketball is a very solid program. Could Miami be a potential for the Big Ten in conference re-alignment? Absolutely.

They’d deliver a bigger market than say, Florida State. And that brand is truly national for football.

What are they considering as recent?

Quite frankly, I think this is ludicrous.  Time will tell.

"if the ACC simply can’t keep pace in terms of revenue with the Big Ten and the SEC."

On the plus side, however, we are all in the ludicrous business for the time being. What would make one think that the ACC couldn't keep pace with the Power Deux? That's just crazy talk! The important thing to remember is that all of this is "possible", not probable, no numbers behind it. This guy says FSU is B1G material and that guy says AAU prohibitors are a roadblock. As for the SEC, Josh Pate had a good analogy the other day. Think in terms of SEC store. The SEC store is built, got the footprint and all of that. All they need to do now is stock the shelves. Media market size vs. national branding.  Which is more important? Depends entirely on who you ask.

I really don't think that Miami is a good fit for the B10.
