They should have grabbed USF; and they would have the potential to dominate the Florida market. 

 

Even now, with USF & UCF recruiting... I am watching UF and Miami struggle (even when they have a great class coming in).

In 1975, the first year we (Sun Valley High School, Monroe, NC) started a wrestling program, our parents seriously thought it was akin to pro-wrestling, as Charlotte was a hotbed for this entertainment. Swear-to-God: we had to explain in exhaustive detail what this was. This is the rural south in the 70's. College was something up north where the hippies burned draft cards. No concept whatsoever of Olympic style wrestling. Not across the board, mind you, but my parents and the parents of a few of my friends who also wanted to go out for it. Some of those highfalutin city boys from Charlotte knew. We relied on them to get us up to speed...been a fan ever since.

A new antitrust lawsuit seeking ongoing NIL rights for men's basketball players from the 1997, 2008, 2011 and 2014 national champions, filed Monday, is seeking unspecified damages. It follows a similar complaint last month from the NC State national champions from 40 years ago.  

It doesn't stop there. The Power Five and Big East are also included in the suit for using images from former stars Sherron Collins (Kansas), Jason Terry (Arizona) and Ryan Boatright (UConn). There are 16 players in all. Other names may be added.
