Not sure I'm seeing anything Memphis should really be embarrassed about. They're in this guy's top 3 for ACC expansion ..... for whatever that's worth.

Miami/Canes and Tampa/USF are very similar in how bandwagon the fanbases are. Both schools need to win in order for the masses to care. I think we'd be a great pair and rivalry in the ACC.

Miami still has some national appeal, although it is definitely shrinking.  Some of that appeal is schadenfreude -- people watching to root for Miami to lose because of their "The U" arrogance.

That said, I agree with your overall position hear.  Would love a USF/Miami rivalry to build.

Nebraska and Miami in b1g make sense. They were powerhouses in the late 80s to early 2000s. Both fan bases hate each other and the b1g ten has more better teams now Oregon, and Washington. And usc maybe one day again.
