USF fans at this point should want to whole Power conference system to collapse due to greed. It will rebuild itself better and I’m pretty sure USF will be a part of it. Basically what I am saying that the power conferences without USF and the TB market is doomed to fail in the long run.

It's progress, and you don't have a vote in the matter. But here's the thing. How 'awful' these changes to the world may be perceived, it's all about perspective. If your football program is - phrasing this politely - found to be lacking, then you would bemoan YOUR lack of access to funding and a seat at the table. On the other hand, if you're "in with the in crowd", well things are going pretty well. The industry is moving forward, and even though you may say you don't like where it's headed, you're also not throwing in the towel. Just yet.

Fans' perspectives maddeningly run the gamut ...

Are you sure about that?

To build this model for ACC expansion, I took time to study the top 100 DMAs in the United States and the associated universities tied to those DMAs via Sports Media Watch, football growth potential and interest expansion into new markets, university quality, and what type of sponosorhip and local investment pull does each university have that can allow a school to compete in the new revenue sharing era. We are all aware of the new football facilities at USF. We are aware of the Memphis sponsorship and NIL abilities with local businesses, and we are aware that only one P4 school resides in Louisiana.

Thus, when you combine academic ranking, market potential, TV exposure history from 2016 to 2023 football seasons, and brand interest among local communities, the following three schools jump out to the top of the list for ACC expansion:

This is embarrassing for Memphis as much as anyone. Theyve been pretty much an 8-10 win team in the AAC while USF has been in the dumpster for all but 3 years.

If USF did the same they would be all over TV.

Yeah and we have had examples of this even in our obscure era.

Tampa is a bandwagon city.
When winning we do get hyped a lot.
