The ACC needs to bring whatever they’re doing to some closure. They made the moves with SMU, Cal and Stanford and that indicates they have some larger plan, but they can’t afford to just sit around and wait. It seems inevitable that FSU, Clemson and perhaps UNC/UVA are out the door. Make your best deal - make it hurt - but move it along already.

I think that’s exactly what’s going to happen. But remember is not just agreeing with FSU/ Clemson right now on an exit fee, but also getting ESPN to keep deal until 2036. So really they are working on two issues. I think by February of 2025 we will have an answer to both.

Fun fact, USF keeps moving closed to being a Hispanic Serving Instition and may be there in the next few years. 

My FIL was a professor there in the 90's and telling me about the politics involved in getting FIU up and running and how it was starved for funding. 

Next to UF if has the highest average starting salary in the state system.

I just visited there with my kid and I was blown away.  Probably the most beautiful campus in the state and a lot of really good programs.  Medical school, law school, great food. 

I checked them out 25 years ago and it looked like a community college.

How is this a fun fact?  UTEP and UTSA are majority Hispanic and are academically inferior, HBCU’s are as well, why would we want to strive to be monolithic, I thought we strived to be stronger by diversity? Isn’t this how we have gained our strength and became preeminent?
