We were long and away being "passed" by c athletically before VPoAMK got to USF. As for "never had USF first", I'd say that crown goes to Harlan.

The immediate future is how I like to look at things, and everything is trending up. Hopefully women's golf continues and baseball rights the ship, but even if they don't? Football and basketball being fun again, and some sports (track/volleyball) being the best they've ever been is awesome. Most of the criticism of head coaches being fired is that by years 3/4/5 they weren't improving, and even getting worse. Cannot say the same for VPoAMK. If we can retain Golesh (and there's no reason to believe we shouldn't be able to) until the OCS opens, how good at football will we be by then? Home opener against Louisville, potentially two preseason top 25 teams, ON CAMPUS? Will be the single greatest day in USF athletics history.

Exactly.  The early years were terrible, but we don't know if that was fatal yet.  We are correcting in all the key areas that we whined about.  Big 2 sports, fund raising.  The fact that the OCS is happening when everyone said there was 0% chance is something else.

Yes I mean that an inanimate object like a McDouble is able to raise 3x more than something in its exact position simply by existing, except that a McDonald’s cheeseburger is probably more exciting and exceptional than VPMK. Poor people can’t afford food from inflation, poor people are not the ones contributing to any fundraising of consequence, if inflation squeezed everyone equally there wouldn’t be inflation. Every campaign is having record days not by being great, every stock has a record setting day not by being great and Joe lunch pale isn’t driving forward VPMK’s “success” with an unfounded vote of confidence. VPMK can hit records because inflation means some people are suffering from tmm.

I want to go back to this take.  I wasn't talking about "poor" people donating.  That situation is tragic given the cost of things right now and the total global gaslighting going on.  Working people with money have less discretionary spending capacity because salaries aren't keeping pace with rising costs.  Yes, there are major asset holders that benefited from inflation by holding those assets.  If you are talking about that level of greater than 1% donor and are saying everyone else is inconsequential (to use your word), then I guess none of us need to buy tickets and donate.  That doesn't make sense, because we know that isn't true.  You see the staff on here saying the small regular donations make a huge difference.  If it didn't, they would just ignore us and get that Larry Fink milk like Disney.

Worst record, worst conference, worst hire, worst extension and only ad to be passed by other teams in realignment and he did it twice, that’s all that matters

I’m a perfectly imperfect follower of Christ so I have already forgiven those things. Now I feel blessed that USF has MK which brought in blessings such as CAG, CAAR, OCS, ACC connections, etc. USF is very blessed to have’ MK working his miracles..

You are the one that suggested people giving more while struggling was a major accomplishment, it’s my position that anyone giving more now has more and that no one struggling to make ends meet contributed in any significant way towards this “growth”.

If people attributed MK’s miracles to Christ you would be posting about how you are a follower of Apollo

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
