They have, IMO, a very involved student body because A-they have a stadium, and B- they started winning games. Yes, I know all about the 0fer season. Point being that the students were engaged in the atmosphere before the winning started. They partied till kickoff and then went somewhere else. Now they party AND go to their stadium.

FSU would not have started this if they didn't have some reasonable assurance of having a place to land. Period.   University presidents talk - more likely they had go-betweens (i.e. lawyers) handle the communication because of public records requests.  FSU knows what their options will and will not be.  So does Clemson.  So does UNC.

The Big Ten and SEC have to PUBLICLY say they aren't interested to avoid an ACC lawsuit for tortious interference.  It's always lost when teams change, but "officially" a school has to apply to join there is no "invitation" process.  Even when the Pac 12 was imploding the Big 12 never publicly said anything about adding the four corners schools.

So, it looks like some pre-emptive maneuvering to ensure that, post ACC dissolution the heavy hand of government legislation will force games to be played regardless of whatever conference we* find ourselves in. Any thoughts on whether the Free State of Florida should get pre-emptive as well?
