Hope you are right. I still predict that we are stuck in the aac until the end of the 2020’s, and if we do get the call it will come in the early 2030’s.  We will see.

We shall see. I know one thing and that is USF must dominate the AAC if the upcoming ACC invite is delayed….

Now this is the real answer to everything. Just win, and don't look back!

Is it safe to say that UCF focused on athletics while USF focused on academics in the same timeframe?  I feel like that was the case.

If we do end up in the ACC I feel like we made the right bet.  What I mean is the results are the same (we landed in a more desirable league than the AAC) but we have the added benefit of better academics.

BTW, I am not saying we are being considered for the ACC due to our AAU membership but I am sure it doesn't hurt.

Well they opened a medical school and basically kicked UF health out of Orlando while developing a medical city and opened an entire new campus in downtown focused on innovation/entrepreneurship in the time frame we are talking so I think they were also investing in academics, and it shows. We really aren’t much better than them academically if at all, we just had a head start in a couple areas.  It’s worked out well for the both of us.  Proud of where we are.  They’ll be AAU too though, can’t be complacent in this game, gotta keep moving!

Yes, I didn't mean to disparage them academically.  I was honestly very impressed with them on my last trip. They have a very involved student body and seem to be aggressively trying to get better. That's a pretty good chance my youngest will go there.

So, the SEC doesn't want them and the Big 10 doesn't want them. Anybody else starting to get the feeling that FSU should not have had this tantrum before locking up a secure spot somewhere else?

I will be shocked if both Clemson & FSU are not invited to the ACC. I would be more shocked if they were invited to the big ten since they don’t have AAU status.

Oooh hurry up.  If we can get called up, we haven't started building that stadium yet.
