It did however it helped that they hitched their wagon to Cal and Stanford, also it's the ACC we are talking about a more possible scenario for us. I can say that I would feel better if the comment by the Bot guy was regarding the ACC or even the small longshot possibility of B10 due to our AAU status. SEC no way Jose!

It certainly could have been, and as we all know it's hard to understand sarcasm or tone from text. But as it stands, we are currently being left in the dust by our peers in FL and about to go in to a huge amount of debt without any certainty of landing in a power conference.

Regardless, if these guys are busy entertaining each other in these important meetings with these types of jokes then it makes sense why we are where we are. I am not a fan of bulletin material that can make us look bad.

Realistically, if any Florida school is going SEC it is FSU.

Miami is a long shot for SEC, and has a better chance at B1G.

USF will be an ACC or Big XII product.

Here is to hoping that B1G comes in and scoops up UM, Ga Tech, USF, and ND.

Is it safe to say that UCF focused on athletics while USF focused on academics in the same timeframe?  I feel like that was the case.

If we do end up in the ACC I feel like we made the right bet.  What I mean is the results are the same (we landed in a more desirable league than the AAC) but we have the added benefit of better academics.

BTW, I am not saying we are being considered for the ACC due to our AAU membership but I am sure it doesn't hurt.
