Amazing.  An independent like UConn…

USF had  a good rivalry going with UConn during the Big East years. Definitely interesting times.

I guess I would prefer Tulane for the NOLA factor, but hey.  We will take what we get and like it.

FSU, Clemson, UNC, and UVA aren't all likely to jump from the ACC to the SEC in the next round of conference realignment. Instead, as USA Today's Blake Toppmeye

"I'd add one more to the list of FSU, Clemson and UNC: Virginia. Although Virginia doesn't move the needle from where I sit, the SEC could view Virginia more favorably. Adding a school with a Southern identity in a neighboring state would fit previous rounds of SEC expansion. Would the SEC add four ACC schools? Adding two and growing to 18 is a better bet. Previous rounds of SEC expansion included only two teams."

I don't think they have met any UVA grads.

Just listened to some random guy on YouTube talk about conference expansion.

June 30th is when will know about FSU/Clemson, apparently.

Sidenote: does reading/listening to all this conference realignment stuff make anyone else feel dumber afterwards?

Oh not at all.  I'm so grateful for all these insiders posting their most confidential information.  I feel much smarter knowing exactly what is going to happen in the future.

They are mentioning the June 30th date because that’s officially the end of this Athletic year. So according to bylaws if a school in ACC is planning on leaving after this year, that’s the date to announce. It’s technical because according to FSU they could say they have already announced so it’s all technical.

Also July 1st SMU officially joins and Cal/ Stanford on August 2. That’s important because now they are voting members on ACC decisions.

A bigger date is actually February 2025, that’s the deadline ESPN has to extend ACC deal

A lot of the experts are just blowing smoke, some do have some info. If you keep up with it you can pull out what could be true from what it isn’t and who is just doing it for clicks.

At the end is something that is of importance and interest to USF fans, and that’s why we are all here.

I don’t proclaim to be an expert nor get any money from it, I just do it because it’s interesting and like sharing what I heard and makes some sense on here. If that bothers any of you, I apologize and there is a mute button you can use.

Guys, I think I found Sources! He’s been a bull all along!

I am not bothered, I just feel like my brain gets twisted into a pretzel when we have multiple prognosticators screaming about how their unique scenario is the correct one.

And by prognosticators, I am talking about CW Lambert and the Such. I think for the most part, the fan base is aligned in where we would like to see our program (out of the G5, at the least).

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
