Survival is relative. Folding the football program or being relegated to play FAMU and BCC on the regular is a lot different than being in the second tier of college football (B12 and ACC)

There will be a tier between that and FCS and worst case, we'll be in it ...... we're not folding.

Exactly! And to me it starts with this upcoming season. It is very critical that USF wins bigger than they have ever  won before to help show the nation that the program has arrived. Anything less than competing for the AAC championship will be a let down imo. Looking at USF’s schedule I see a 10-2 or better regular season. Go Bulls!!

I agree that we are not folding, but I also believe there may be some that do. So it is within the realm of possibility.

An interesting article about the Clemson lawsuit.

"...in business, pretty much everything is negotiable."

And that is pretty much what we have been saying. I believe FSU & Clemson have the clout to reach a settlement to get out while the rest do not. USF comes in and helps replace their losses imo

I would be surprised to see schools currently in Division 1 folding their programs. I think most fans will appreciate any football over no football at all. I would like to move up to a power conference, but the situation we are currently (AAC)in isn't so bad.

Exactly. UAB is still going to keep battling and that is after they had their program shut down before. USF path to the playoffs this season is much more easier than how their path to the playoffs will be when they are actually in the ACC

Yes, I don't think Clemson & FSU are going to be trapped in the ACC until 2036. Like the attorney said, perhaps "ironclad" is a bit hyperbolic. As is the idea of folding a program because you're not P2.
