The clock is ticking for USF with the changes to the NCAA and college football landscape. The financial gulf between the haves and the have-nots widens by the minute.  If we aren't playing in the Big 12 or the ACC by the time we open the new stadium, we are toast.

Another way to look at it is this:

If somehow USF is not invited to the ACC. Then basically we need the P2 to pretty much out greed each other & cause the whole system to collapse. Then USF will definitely be part of the new system

The New System will essentially be a minor league compared to the P2. There is no "out-greeding" each other when you have broadcast networks and huge, rich, alumni bases backing you up. It may be where we ultimately end up anyways, but being as close to the top as possible when the ship starts to sink improves our chances for survival.

Exactly! And to me it starts with this upcoming season. It is very critical that USF wins bigger than they have ever  won before to help show the nation that the program has arrived. Anything less than competing for the AAC championship will be a let down imo. Looking at USF’s schedule I see a 10-2 or better regular season. Go Bulls!!

If you're anywhere on a "ship" when it "sinks", there is no survival ....

Survival is relative. Folding the football program or being relegated to play FAMU and BCC on the regular is a lot different than being in the second tier of college football (B12 and ACC).
