Sadly now is really the P2, but at least we will be M2 rather than G5

Exactly. However if USF can’t get into the P2 at least they should be in the 3rd best conference which will be the ACC imo

This program needs to just focus on winning football games and staying relevant.

lol those WVU big 12 fans are basically in panic mode. Especially WVU as now they are coming to realize that USF is basically going to be ACC bound which they were rejected by many years ago.

ORANGEFIZZ.NET

Four possible schools have been identified as options for ACC expansions. How well do they fit in with the conference?

South Florida

USF would be a replacement, albeit a mediocre one, for Florida State if the Seminoles successfully leave the ACC. They pick up the number 12 Tampa media market, but are probably have the weakest overall athletics out of any possible addition.

Go figure. "Orangefizz" must not have liked it when "mediocre" USF pounded the ever-living crap out of the Orange 45-0 in a bowl game it was favored to win.

Tastes a little flat to me. Fanta would be disappointed.

Thought this was interesting.

Uh... their definition of "in the market" is REALLY loose.

New York (#1) -- Syracuse ? HA!
Los Angeles (#2) -- Cal? Stanford?  HA!
Chicago (#3) -- Notre Dame?  HA!   (Notre Dame has a bigger following in Boston than Chicago)
Philadelphia (#4)
Dallas-Fort Worth (#5)
Houston (#6) -- SMU HA!?
Atlanta (#7)
Boston (Manchester) (#8)
Washington, D.C. (Hagerstown) (#9) -- UVa ?
San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose (#10)

In reality, the ACC only has teams in four or the top 10 markets: DFW, Atlanta, Boston, and  SF/Oak/SJ.

Its questionable even in those 4 markets they pull a decent share of it.

Assuming that Cal/Stanford is in the #10 market, but yes, that is a pretty big reach to say 7 out of 10.
