FSU, Miami, Auburn, WVU, NC, NC State, GT, Illinois, South Carolina, Syracuse, Pitt, etc…. C’mon we have shown up

What happened after we played one of those good games? It seemed like forever just to win a Thursday night game on National TV when we had a chance to show up. Generally what we showed was embarrassing.

I remember a particular weekday night PITT game that had no energy, we lost, and everyone silently filed out of the stadium.  It felt like a transition.

Well Willie wanted to compete for a national championship, you don’t?  We understood Willie’s needs to be real.  You might be a among the very few that show up to club football.

Funny stuff. Let's win a conference championship, hell division championship, at ANY level before seriously talking about a natty. "Club football", funnier stuff .......... hyperbolic but humorous.

Brutal Thursday night game in 2008.  We were ranked #10 and were upset 26-21.  Very strange vibe after that game moving forward.

Yeah that was a bad loss.

To say we have showed up once or twice is disingenuous and factually inaccurate.  Yes we have laid plenty of eggs over the years however we have played very well against some of the best and have plenty of victories to be proud of. Turn that frown upside down bud, hold that head high and be happy with what we got, not a lot but better than nothing.

2pac representing in tier 1 is such a shame. The last ruling on being paid to players directly made it seem the pac2 is still a power conference. Are they expanding or is the ACC going to invite them? USf is closer to the ACC academics, but is closer to athletics for b12 teams because the conference has zero national champions left over the last 25 years.

That's OK State, not Oregon State in tier 1 though.

Did Willie win a conference championship?  His fans praised his desire to play for a national championship despite an under .500 record here.

I do like hyperbole.  Still, many think the current P5 conferences will melt down into the P25 teams.  The rest will be chasing mostly regional, affiliated or “conference” championships. See how far that goes in Tampa.

I guess we'll cross that rickety old bridge if/when we come to it ......
