Unfortunately they are on the side you want to be on in college sports. Usf was left behibd because of previous school leaders  decisions to neglect athletics and psst coaches failing. If we don't get in a power conference in 5 years or less we will be as good as dead for football.

Yeah but as we know things can easily change. USF was once in the Big East while they were battling it out in the MAC & C-USA. They had to figure out how to get off the mat and win which is why they got selected imo. USF made some bad moves after getting rid of one of the father’s of USF football. LRS who is another father to the program passed away and I believe the slide started to speed up. Now it looks like USF is finally getting up off that mat & winning. I do believe USF will be in a very good position soon.

I actually think having a g5 playoffs where the top 5 teams get moved up to power conference every  year and bottom team in every power conference would be the only saving grace at this point. There will be no chance you compete with power conferences without regulation  when the ncaa is going to pay them.
