We just say it's about the money. It's really all about the kids, altruism, making sure they get a quality education that can benefit them forever. But, we are forced to say it's about the money so we fit in with everyone else.

I bet more college kids care more about the money then the degrees, if they are not going to get post graduate degrees.

But are we saying it's, necessarily, a bad thing? How much is just accepting the fact that our quest for transparency has downside as well. It eliminates whatever illusion of "being equal" we were comfortable with previously. There are those with sixty-foot yachts and those who have to fish from the pier. It's always been that way, but we just didn't like it being in our faces and accepting that we might find ourselves on the pier.

If I were a betting man, I'd be tempted to wager that when we see the hard divide between P2 (members to be decided later) split from the NCAA, that the flotsam will end up having their own playoff, separate from the P2 national. Why? 'Cause if you need money, remember - the hoi polloi love, absolutely love, looking at brackets. It's great for basketball, panning out in football. Shucks, even Wanda & Duane up in Cabarrus County embraced the term "playoff".  If such a move hardens the DMZ, it might not be such a bad thing. It's just business. And the tee-vee bidness is all about keeping eyeballs on advertising. What better way than to replace meaningless (yeah, I said it) Poulan Weed Whacker Bowls with something that just might be a tad more entertaining (even if it does involve the spread and over-under numbers)? The fight for relevance is relentless.

Yup.  So basically ACC is only losing two schools.  Probably have a settlement agreement by the end of the summer. Now we will see if & when the ACC invites more schools to stabilize

If only G5 teams are targets:

UConn, USF, Memphis, and Tulane are waiting.

If more westward expansion is needed OSU, WSU, SDSU, maybe CState?

If P4 teams are targeted:

Ok state, TTech, CU
