What doesn't make sense to me is why FAU got in over us... They were clearly overrated, losing to a tired Temple team and now out in the first round of the NCAAT. The AAC should be a 2-3 bid league, but the wrong team got sent, because of some recent name recognition from last year.

All great points.  There are so many teams that have an argument probably for those last few spots that at some point it just doesn't matter to the people making the final decisions.  So yeah a team like FAU gets in over USF based on the run the previous year.   Or a bigger name school gets that final spot based on name recognition and realistically the people making the final call look at all of those schools being position fillers and not legitimate championship contenders.  It sucks for a USF or Indiana State that had a great year, but at the end of the day we're just 1 team out of 351 in their eyes.   And only the fans of those teams really care much

Any mediocre power5 program will get the nod over a non power team that doesn't have power  team wins. The divide is only going to grow. Why it is so important to short yourself  in the short term like smu to get out of the aac. Would you rather be attached to fau or miami?

I concur.  Get in the ACC by hook or crook as the saying goes.  Keep building the fanbase, facilities and winning records.

I do think that eventually the B1G is going to look to FL.  AAU candidates that they might consider are UF (not likely to leave SEC), UM and USF.   We may have options if we keep moving forward.

We should be on the phone with osu and wsu. A 3 team pac 12 with the two of them is so much better than this **** stain conference weve found ourselves in.
