Well, that just keeps the door open to maybe, one day, eventually, down the road. Kind of like saying "Yes, expansion is finished for the time being." Remember, we've been shuffling conferences since the game first got played, so in a belt-and-suspenders world, no, it's not "dead". It never will be truly, cast-in-stone "dead".

 

I'd focus on the words "not imminent". A not too subtle communication that as of now, we're done. Maybe something down the road, but there's the distinct possibility that we may not get to 200 on substantive screed.

If B12 had to be at 16 tomorrow, I don't see 6 better additions than BYU, Boise, UConn, Cinci, UCF & USF. That would be a solid conference.

Big12 at 16 does not follow from MSU statement about Big10 being at 16.
