I think the main urgency to get into a P4 conference at this point is not CFP, but the afterlife. I believe all of this will blow up in about 15-20 years and we will have conferences of about 10-12 teams again and we want to end up in an “ACC” type conference when it settles and not the CUSA or AAC type.

Some interesting choices for sure.

How many teams get a bye?  Would we be playing Clemson or Texas?

Nothing we haven't seen before.  No shake up?

Instead of Utah, I think the CFP Committee will give Notre Dame two slots and select Bama's practice squad over Tulane.

Great question. Seems like admin leadership turnover is the key variable that has changed. Sad they couldn’t figure out earlier that academic and athletic excellence are not mutually exclusive (see Duke, UVa, Michigan, and so on).

It's the most obvious but the "maturing" factor of our core fan base has also contributed ...

ACCFOOTBALLRX.BLOGSPOT.COM

This blog is about ACC Football - past glory, what went wrong, and how to fix it and get back to the glory days again.

https://accfootballrx.blogspot.com/

What would the ACC do next? You mean besides cashing the checks? I'm thinking they add USF to maintain a second team in Florida. The fact that USF is an AAU school is just icing on the cake! Then, if it becomes necessary to get back to an even number of teams, the ACC could consider adding another Central Time Zone team (like, say, TCU?), or even one from the Mountain Time Zone (Utah or Arizona State, maybe?)

Stay tuned, and get your popcorn ready!

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
