The context is Swaim trying everything to make people think that the Big 12 is stronger than the ACC. spoiler: it's not.

Can we stop reposting all of this Big 12 nonsense. They act like their 2 biggest teams didn't just leave them.

While Swaim and some of the others like MHver3 definitely prop up the Big 12, that's not always the goal of their nonsense. It's mostly to get clicks and attention and make people think they're super special insiders with information on realignment when they've got message board connections at best.

I am 37, and I don’t think my body would hold up from all the sports injuries. Plus, if I don’t get rest, I am ****** for the next 2 to 3 days.

Hitting 40 this year and there are times where I've gotta ice the knees after a 90-minute softball practice (and I'm coaching, not playing 🤣)

I mean, they weren't stronger than the Pac 12 either, but Big 12 leadership played things smarter than the Pac 12 and we see how that ended up.

And Mizzou. And Nebraska. And TAMU. Their stability is based in that they have little of value left. I do think the 4C and Kansas are still on radars (markets too good, plus big public flagships), but for a conference based in Texas on football, they're now a basketball conference and their strongest schools aren't in Texas. These next 5 years are going to be funky.

This is interesting. FSU's Osceola Project (fundraising for buyout from ACC) using SEC revenue projections as opportunity cost...

Also, Jim is a USF alumni who works in media consulting in DC, so take this for what it's worth -

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
