We sold out the money tickets, but back then (before doing business online was a thing) - students just showed up, we would scan their ID to make sure they were a current student and give them a ticket as they walked in. The decision was made not to turn away any students, so we had to open sections when more students showed up than seats in the student section. 

We just barely got that sellout, and wanted to announce it as a sellout, meaning opening more seats wouldn't have increased the crowd .....

But 

In 2007, I think we could have sold 85,000 tickets to USF vs. WVU. Those were be scalped for good money and we sold out early in the week and could have sold a ton more tickets, if the stadium held more.

Yup exactly. Im now wondering if the big ten or SEC will be interested in FSU with the news coming out regarding the NIL violations. Heck I been hearing it was UGA & SEC that helped rat out FSU. ACC could end up collecting money from FSU & kick them out with no home lol

And to add to that let’s say the FSU scandal pretty much shuts the door on ACC losing any teams. That probably means they end up raiding the big 12 & then USF ends up being invited to big 12. Interesting turn of events…

Just all speculation at this point. Either USF is going to end up in the ACC or big 12. Heck it would be amazing if USF ends up in ACC and they still have both FSU & Miami. That would be the best case scenario lol

 The ACC Board of Directors voted today to formally admit the University of California, Berkeley (Cal), Southern Methodist University (SMU) and Stanford University to the Atlantic Coast Conference. Cal, SMU and Stanford will join the ACC as full members with full voting participation effective July 1, 2024 (SMU) and August 2, 2024 (Stanford and Cal). The decision followed the submission of letters of application from all three institutions.

Why? Now they are even more perfect for the SEC.
