If the b12/acc merge we have no value to the conference. They will have at least 2/3 Florida teams. I would rather see them both blow up like the pac instead  of merge. Then from  the ashes new conferences could be formed and we could sit at the kids table(Aac) screaming for an invite.

The four corners schools add inventory and markets and that's beneficial to the B12.  But are they brands?  I don't know.  Utah did win the PAC recently.  Arizona has BB.  And Prime at Colorado is sensational.  Not sure they're saviors though.

Definitely not saviors. But realistic targets for the Big 12 to bolster the conference membership while weakening a competitor. There were extreme long shot dreams for Oregon or Washington but the 4 corners were the best fit geographically and actually attainable once the PAC was falling apart.

We keep dissing on UCF which I get but I'd rather be in a conference with UCF over FAU and FIU any day if those 3 were the only options.

Cheaper to keep her!

The common denominator in success in NIL and conference realignment is money.  CFB is no longer an amateur sport but it's big business.  SMU joining the ACC is evidence that you can buy your way in (along with some other factors of course).  Sadly we have to embrace this.

So we should buy own way in and pack ray jay with big draws like Clemson, nc, and fsu consistently. Then in 2027 we would have a stadium with extra cash flow from ticket sales and increased brand value for the tickets on stadium.

As long as you hit the lottery it sounds like a plan that would work.

Such as gemshaft neglecting athletics for a decade, not starting a ocs when we were in the Big East, and firing Jim without having any quality coaches ready to take over that are proven winners in power football.
